Scholarship Programs

Higher education is strongly encouraged and is the foundation of the company's core competencies. Conexant demonstrates its commitment to education through its scholarship program.

Conexant offers scholarship awards at the following universities:

University of California, Irvine
The Henry Samueli School of Engineering
Donald Bren School of Information and Computer Sciences
The Paul Merage School of Business (2nd year student)
SAGE (Student Achievement Guided by Experience) Program

University of California, Los Angeles
The Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science

University of California, San Diego
Jacobs School of Engineering
SAGE Program

The application and selection process varies by university. Monies are sent directly to the university and are typically applied to the selected recipients' tuition and fee expenses for the given academic year. Interested students should contact their campus' scholarship coordinator.

Awards are based on candidates meeting the following criteria:

  1. Interest in working in semiconductor industry
  2. Enrolled as a full-time undergraduate or graduate students at one of the schools noted above.
  3. Majoring in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
  4. Posses a minimum of 3.5 GPA (undergraduate) or 3.75 GPA (graduate) in major.
  5. Interest in a summer internship with Conexant, before graduation.
  6. Ability to work in the US.
  7. Required graduation date will vary by campus.

Other criteria includes:

  1. Demonstrated leadership skills
  2. Involvement in extra-curricular activities
