Sailesh Chittipeddi*, Ph.D
President and Chief Executive Officer
Sailesh Chittipeddi was named president and chief executive officer of Conexant in April 2011. He previously served as president and chief operating officer since November 2010, responsible for engineering, operations, quality, and marketing. From July 2009 he served as company co-president, with responsibility for global engineering, operations, quality, IT, and associated infrastructure-support activities. Sailesh joined Conexant in June 2006 as senior vice president of Global Operations, and was promoted to executive vice president of Global Operations and chief technical officer in April 2008. Prior to that, he held several senior operations-related positions with Agere Systems, Lucent Technologies, AT&T Microelectronics, and AT&T Bell Labs. He also served as Lucent Technologies' representative to SEMATECH, and was a member of the Technical Staff with AT&T Bell Laboratories. Sailesh holds a master's degree in business administration from the University of Texas at Austin, a master's degree and a doctorate in physics from Ohio State University, and a master's degree in physics from Northern Illinois University. He also holds 63 U.S. patents related to semiconductor process, package, and design, and has authored nearly 40 publications.
Carl Mills*
Chief Financial Officer
Carl Mills was named Chief Financial Officer in September 2011. Mr. Mills has been a financial executive in technology businesses in Silicon Valley for over fifteen years, working with emerging firms, both public and private venture capital backed. Most recently Mr. Mills served as Chief Financial Officer or as a consulting CFO to semiconductor companies SiPort, Inc., which was sold to Intel, UPEK, Inc., which was subsequently sold to AuthenTec, and Teknovus, Inc., which was sold to Broadcom. From 2002 to 2008, Mr. Mills was VP of Finance and, Chief Financial Officer of QuickLogic Corporation, a NASDAQ listed company. QuickLogic develops and markets low power customizable semiconductor solutions for mobile products such as Tablets, Smartphones and DataCards. Mr. Mills was CFO at AltoWeb, Inc., a venture-backed softwarecompany providing a platform for delivering J2EE applications, from 2000 to 2002. Prior to AltoWeb, Mr. Mills held several positions, most recently Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer, at WaferScale Integration, a venture-backed producer of peripheral integrated circuits. WaferScale was acquired by STMicroelectronics in 2000. Mr. Mills has a B.S. and an M.B.A. in Finance from Santa Clara University.
Dennis Gallagher*
General Counsel and VP, Legal
Dennis Gallagher is General Counsel at Conexant with responsibility for Conexant’s worldwide legal affairs. Previously, Mr. Gallagher served as Conexant’s Intellectual Property Counsel responsible for managing Conexant’s patent portfolio and all intellectual property issues facing Conexant and its products. Prior to joining Conexant in 2007, Mr. Gallagher spent 10 years in large, international law firms representing prominent consumer electronics, software, automotive and communications companies. He was associated with the law firms of O’Melveny & Myers LLP and Crowell & Moring LLP where he specialized in patent litigation and patent prosecution, technology licensing, client counseling and patent portfolio management. Prior to his legal career, Mr. Gallagher worked as a software engineer in the defense and consumer electronics industries and as an IT professional for a public relations and marketing firm. Mr. Gallagher received a Bachelor of Science degree with honors from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and his J.D. with honors from Loyola Law School Los Angeles. Mr. Gallagher is a registered patent attorney, admitted to practice in California and before the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals and United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Nic Rossi*
Vice President, Global Operations
Nic Rossi is the Vice President of Global Operations at Conexant. In his current role, operating from China, he is responsible for worldwide supply chain management, global procurement, logistics, quality, manufacturing and engineering operations, real-estate, and IT. Prior to joining Conexant in 2007, he held various management and technical positions at Silicon Manufacturing Partners in Singapore, Lucent Technologies Microelectronics in Orlando, Florida, and AT&T Bell Laboratories in Murray Hill, New Jersey. Nic holds a doctorate in physics, applied to materials, from Ecole Polytechnique in Paris, has nearly 50 patents in the field of microelectronics, and over 17 years of industry experience.
Sharon Johur
Executive Director, Human Resources
Sharon Johur has over 20 years of HR experience with the last 15 years in the semiconductor industry. Ms. Johur has extensive experience with acquisitions and mergers, compensation and benefits, organizational development and workforce planning. She originally joined Conexant in 1997. She subsequently joined NXP Semiconductors in 2008 when Conexant sold the Broadband Media Processing business. In February, 2010, she was part of the Trident Microsystems acquisition of the STB business from NXP. At Trident, Ms. Johur was responsible for delivering all HR support for both the TV and STB businesses, sales and operations. From 1991 to 1997, Ms. Johur was the head of HR for Staefa Control Systems, an HVAC & security design company and from 1986 to 1991, she held various HR positions with an industrial publishing company and a mid-sized ERP company. Ms. Johur holds a B.S.B.A. in Human Resources Management.
