Conexant’s gigabit passive optical networks (GPON), gigabit Ethernet passive optical networks (GE-PON), and broadband passive optical networks (BPON) are targeted at products that include residential gateways, optical network terminals (ONTs), and optical network units (ONUs) used in fiber-to-the-premises (FTTP), multi-dwelling-unit (MDU) and fiber-to-the-node (FTTN) applications on the client-side of the broadband network connection.
The Xenon PON family supports Conexant’s Integrated Software on Silicon™ (ISOS) suite of broadband communications software, which helps customers lower costs, streamline product development, and speed their time-to-market with feature-rich broadband networking products The devices can also be used with Conexant’s ADSL and VDSL product offerings.
