AD1989A HD-Audio Codec, 8 DACs/6 ADCs
The AD1989A HD-Audio codec provides superior HD-audio sound quality that exceeds Windows® Vista Premium Performance for notebooks and desktop PCs. The high performance codec contains eight 101dB DACs and six 92dB ADCs, three stereo headphone ports, C/LFE swapping, two-channel digital microphone interface, digital and analog PCBeep, two independent S/PDIF outputs and one S/PDIF input. The jack retasking feature on the codec supports various multi-channel configurations including platforms for 5.1 on three jacks, and front panel jack retasking.
