Voice

Your Voice, and Nothing Else

The future is now; voice has become the most exciting interface for interacting with CE devices, with device categories from tiny wearables to large appliances offering voice capabilities at varying capacities. Throughout the voice revolution, Conexant has been bolstering its industry-leading portfolio of advanced audio hardware and software solutions designed to help today’s always-listening voice-enabled devices hear and be heard better. Come experience why more brands rely on Conexant’s far-field voice technologies than any competing solution.

A True Hands-Free User Experience:
With Conexant AudioSmart™ voice barge-in, users can literally control their devices without using their hands. Simply stating a trigger phrase when the device’s audio system is idle, or in use will yield the same result.

Excellent Far-Field Capabilities:
Conexant AudioSmart™ CODEC and software solutions offer the industry’s best far-field performance for speech recognition systems. The technology enables seamless voice control of devices from up to five meters away.

Advanced Audio Processing Techniques:
Allows for natural human to machine voice interaction. 360-degrees of listening capability offers accurate speech recognition in most home and office environments.

& Docking

Shifting Away from the 3.5mm Plug

The personal listening devices paradigm is shifting. As the industry begins phasing out the 3.5mm analog audio jack, a go-to for personal audio devices since the 1960s, Conexant is making the transition to digital more seamless. Conexant has CODECs that redefine what headsets and headphones are capable of. With USB-C, headphones will now have power and a digital audio signal available to them, as well as have the ability to exchange data with the source device directly through the cable, unlocking the potential for greater innovation in the booming headphone market.

Advanced Audio Enhancement Technologies:
Active Noise Cancellation, Noise Suppression, Smart Voice Pick Up and Wind Noise Cancellation are all features that can be enabled within headsets. Conexant’s compact CODEC and DSP solutions enable this advanced functionality on headsets with a far smaller overall form factor than previous non USB-C / Apple Lightning designs.

A Uniform Audio Fingerprint Across Devices:
Source devices used to require a DAC to convert 1s and 0s to analog signals, and amplifier so that it could be reproduced on headphones and speakers. With USB-C and Lightning, the DAC and amplifier is part of the headphone design, allowing headset sound quality to be uniform across all source devices.

Support for High-Resolution Audio Formats:
Today’s high-res audio formats provide a listening experience identical in quality to the studio master mix. However, not all devices are capable of high-res playback. Conexant’s USB-C headphone CODECs maximize the user experience of high-res formats, allowing headphones to reproduce digital audio up to 96kHz.

PC
& Tablet

Empowering a Collaborative Workplace

Today’s office culture is becoming increasingly more collaborative. Now more than ever, personal offices and cubicles serve double-duty as group meeting spaces and conference rooms. Because of this growing trend, the PCs occupying these spaces need to be capable of supporting a more collaborative work environment. Conexant’s latest audio and voice technologies ensure today’s PC can provide both an excellent multimedia experience, as well as a superb collaborative user experience in which users on the near and far end can hear and be heard clearly.

Conexant Contextual Awareness:
Automatically optimizes the audio settings and experience based on how the system is being used. The software automatically changes audio settings for the best possible automatic speech recognition, VoIP, music or movie experience.

Intelligent Voice Leveling for Groups:
Ensures listeners on the far-end of VoIP calls hear all collaborators on the near-end equally, regardless of their respective distance from the microphone. With 360-degrees of far-field voice pickup, all users in the room are heard clearly.

Inbound and Outbound Noise Reduction:
Provides high-quality, clear voice that is ideal for VoIP collaboration. Acoustic echo cancellation (AEC) ensures far-end collaborators aren’t hearing their own voices echoing when they speak.
