Modem Driver Assistance

As a service to you, we offer downloads for a few generic modem drivers. These drivers are based on the core chip set capability and make no allowance for the features and capabilities your manufacturer designed for your system. Additionally, Conexant makes no guarantees that the generic software downloaded from this site will even work with your modem (please see legal disclaimer).

Before proceeding, it is important that you determine which modem you have in your system. Downloading the wrong drivers or using Conexant drivers on a non-Conexant device will make it non-operational.

Conexant provides drivers for three (3) main modem types:

HSF modems are primarily PCI plug in cards used in desktop computers, although some internal notebook modems may use this type of modem.

AC-Link (AC '97) modems are primarily internal notebook modems, although some desktop computers may use AC-Link modems on plug in cards or integrated into the motherboard.

HCF modems are primarilty PCI plug in cards and are also available as external USB modems.

The generic software offered here should be considered a stop-gap measure only. In all cases, Conexant urges you to contact the manufacturer for drivers or any technical support issues.

For additional information on this disclaimer, please be sure to read our Terms of Use located at the bottom of this page.
